It’s hard to believe that EMI is putting up Abbey Road recording studio for sale. Other famous musicians and bands who’ve recorded there besides The Beatles include: Michael Jackson, Radiohead, U2, Green Day, Oasis and Pink Floyd.
EMI bought the studios for $160,000 in 1920, but have decided to put the building up for sale. The asking price hasn’t been revealed, but Britain’s Financial Timesreports the business is worth an estimated $20 million (£12.5 million). I’m sure they’re asking for a lot more than $160,000!
